Product introduction

Self-aligning ball bearings are a common type of rolling bearing that have the following characteristics and applications:

Structural features:The outer ring raceway of the self-aligning ball bearing is spherical, and the center of curvature is the same as the center of the bearing. The inner rings of the two raceways are equipped with spherical rolling elements, which are usually steel balls. This structure makes the bearing have the function of automatic self-aligning.

Working principle:When the shaft is bent or tilted, causing the center line of the inner ring to be tilted relative to the center line of the outer ring (the tilt angle does not exceed the allowable range, usually 1° - 2.5°),The spherical raceway allows the rolling elements to automatically adjust their position within the raceway to adapt to the deflection changes of the shaft, thus maintaining the normal operation of the bearing and reducing friction and wear.

Main load:It can bear a large radial load and a certain axial load at the same time. However, compared with special axial bearings, its ability to bear axial loads is relatively small.

Application scenario

For flexed shafts:For example, in some cases where there is a certain angular deviation between the shaft and the bearing housing due to installation errors, shaft deformation or uneven settlement of the foundation, self-aligning ball bearings can well adapt to this situation and ensure the normal operation of the equipment. Common in the drive shaft of papermaking machinery, textile machinery and other equipment.

Heavy and shock load applications:Due to its ability to withstand large radial loads and certain axial loads, it is also used in the case of heavy loads and shock loads, such as crushers, vibrating screens, and other equipment.

Low-speed parts that require self-aligning performance:In some places where the speed requirement is not high, but the bearing needs to have an automatic self-aligning function to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment, self-aligning ball bearings are a better choice, such as some small agricultural machinery.

Self-aligning ball bearings have two structural forms: cylindrical holes and conical holes, and the cage is made of steel plate, synthetic resin, etc. And, in order to strengthen the lubrication performance of the bearing, some self-aligning ball bearings will process annular oil grooves and three oil holes on the outer ring.
